About the hosts

We have lived in cottage country our whole lives. Peter taught for 30 years and I was a Social Services Worker in the Bancroft region. When the time came to choose what we would do in our semi-retirement years, we knew it would be a people-orientated venture and we felt that opening up a Bed and Breakfast would be ideal. We chose Huntsville after falling in love with the area when our children moved here a number of years ago. We started off with a cottage on Restoule Lake, a little further north, and finally settled for the convenience of Huntsville and all that Muskoka has to offer.

We love living closer to our wonderful family and we are also enjoying many of the activities available here such as golfing, skiing, theatre and the arts.

Algonquin Moon Bed and Breakfast allows us to warmly welcome people from near and far into our home. We know you will feel comfortable and right "at home." We look forward to meeting you and sharing the Muskoka hospitality that keeps people returning to this area season after season.
